Ten Cloths: A Note on Our Fabrics
Share
We work with ten cloths. Not more, for now. Each was chosen for its hand — the way it moves against skin, the way it ages — and for the integrity of its making.
Two khadis open the collection: Handspun Khadi and Organic Khadi, both woven on handlooms in West Bengal. From the silk families come Mulberry Silk, Tussar Silk, Matka Peace Silk, Ketia Peace Silk, Eri Silk, and a Tussar-Muga Silk Blend — each with its own weight, lustre and slub, each sourced directly with a known provenance. Linen brings its cool, structured drape; Merino Wool its warmth for the cooler months.
Nothing synthetic. Natural fibres only — because they breathe and age well, because they compost, because they are honest materials for honest garments. Every colour comes from natural dye, drawn from roots, leaves, minerals and fruit.
