Our Weavers

Sūt works with a small group of weaving families and cooperatives across India. Each relationship has been built over years, not seasons.

Our handloom fabrics come from three regions. Our Mulberry and Tussar silks are woven by artisan families in West Bengal and Jharkhand. Our handwoven linens come from cooperative workshops in Odisha, where the weave tradition is centuries old. Our cotton and cotton-linen blends are produced in Tamil Nadu.

We do not work with factories. We work with people. Every length of cloth that leaves a loom passes through the hands of weavers who understand the fibre — its behaviour, its tension, its finish.

We visit our weaving partners in person. We inspect cloth before it is cut. We pay directly and on time.

This is not supply chain management. It is how we prefer to work.
