Collared Tie Up Kimono Coat

The Collared Tie-Up Kimono Coat is the most refined of Sūt's kimono-inspired outerwear — a long-line jacket with a structured collar and a tie closure at the waist that creates a fluid, belted silhouette without hardware or fastening. It is a coat for the Australian who travels with intention: from Darwin to Dunedin, from a weekend in Byron to a formal dinner in South Yarra.

Handwoven in Bengal and available in a spectrum of handwoven fabrics from azo-free dyed cotton to pure mulberry silk, each piece is produced individually and tailored to your exact proportions.

Crafted to Your Exact Measurements

Each Sūt piece is made-to-order and tailored to your individual measurements. No standard sizing. Your body, your garment.

About This Piece

The Collared Tie-Up Kimono Coat features a pointed collar that gives structure at the neckline, long wide sleeves in the kimono tradition, and an integrated fabric sash at the waist for a cinched, draped silhouette. It reads as both coat and statement piece — appropriate for occasions that call for both.

  • Structured pointed collar — elevates the kimono form into tailored territory
  • Integrated fabric tie — creates a belted silhouette without hardware
  • Full-length body with wide kimono sleeves
  • Available in 8 premium fabric choices from khadi cotton to pure silk
  • Made-to-measure in your exact dimensions — no standard sizing
  • Production: 10–14 business days from measurement confirmation

How to Measure

For the most accurate fit, have a tailor or trusted person take your measurements using a soft tape measure.

  • Chest — Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal.
  • Shoulder — Measure from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other, across the back.
  • Sleeve Length — Measure from the shoulder tip to the wrist bone with arm slightly bent.
  • Back Length — Measure from the nape of your neck to where you'd like the garment to end.
  • Waist — Measure around your natural waistline.
  • Hip — Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Neck — Measure around the base of your neck.
  • Wrist — Measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone.

All Sūt garments are produced with a 1–2 cm tolerance. If you are between measurements, we recommend sizing up.
