Oversized Unisex Kimono Jacket

The Oversized Unisex Kimono Jacket is a boundary-less garment — shaped by neither gender nor season, and suited to the kind of Australian who dresses with intent. Worn open over a silk slip in a Sydney summer, or belted over wide-leg trousers in an autumn Melbourne, it adapts to the wearer, not the other way around.

Handwoven from handspun khadi cotton or your choice of premium silk and linen blends, each kimono jacket is crafted at the Anuprerna artisan cooperative in Bengal — a garment that carries both provenance and purpose.

Crafted to Your Exact Measurements

Each Sūt piece is made-to-order and tailored to your individual measurements. No standard sizing. Your body, your garment.

About This Piece

The silhouette draws from traditional East Asian kimono forms — wide sleeves, a long open front, and a relaxed, wrap-style body — reinterpreted through the handloom traditions of Bengal. The result is a garment that exists outside of trend, built for longevity of both form and feeling.

  • Unisex silhouette — oversized, relaxed, and intentionally generous in proportion
  • Wide kimono sleeves with structured drape
  • Open front — can be worn open or secured with a sash or belt
  • Handwoven fabric — available in 8 premium choices from silk to khadi cotton
  • Made-to-measure in your exact dimensions — no standard sizing
  • Production: 10–14 business days from measurement confirmation

How to Measure

For the most accurate fit, have a tailor or trusted person take your measurements using a soft tape measure.

  • Chest — Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal.
  • Shoulder — Measure from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other, across the back.
  • Sleeve Length — Measure from the shoulder tip to the wrist bone with arm slightly bent.
  • Back Length — Measure from the nape of your neck to where you'd like the garment to end.
  • Waist — Measure around your natural waistline.
  • Hip — Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Neck — Measure around the base of your neck.
  • Wrist — Measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone.

All Sūt garments are produced with a 1–2 cm tolerance. If you are between measurements, we recommend sizing up.
